A fifth-generation Missouri farmer and soil scientist, Meagan Kaiser has joined the American Food Power Council, the Center for American Food Power (CAFP) announced today.

Kaiser is Chief Operations Officer and Soil Scientist of Perry Agricultural Laboratory, Inc. in Bowling Green, Missouri, which analyzes soils, plant tissues, feed, seed, water, manure, and fertilizers for clients in all 50 states and 75 foreign countries. With her husband, Marc, she also founded PAL Farm Management LLC, a precision agriculture firm serving clients in seven states, and the couple grows corn and soybeans along the Missouri River in Carroll County as the fifth generation of Kaiser Family Farms.

A Soil Science graduate of the University of Missouri-Columbia, Kaiser previously served as legislative assistant to U.S. Senator Kit Bond and as Executive Director of the Upper Mississippi, Illinois, and Missouri Rivers Association. She is a past chair of the United Soybean Board, the national soy checkoff, and serves as the University of Missouri College of Agriculture, Food and Natural Resources' delegate to the Council on Agriculture, Research, Extension and Teaching (CARET) and as vice president of the Pike County Farm Bureau Board.

"A national food strategy is only as credible as its connection to the people who grow the crops, test the soil, and make the next planting decision," said Brett Sciotto, Founder of the Center for American Food Power and Chief Executive Officer of Idealyst Innovation. "Meagan does all three, and she has also worked in a U.S. Senate office and chaired the national soy checkoff. That blend of farm-gate realism and policy fluency is hard to find, and it will sharpen the Council's work."

"Farm families are asked to feed the country and compete worldwide on margins that leave little room for surprises," said Kaiser. "I look forward to bringing the view from both the soil lab and the combine to the Council, so the strategies we develop hold up on the farms that have to put them into practice."

The Center for American Food Power is a forward-looking, nonpartisan think tank dedicated to strengthening the connection between agriculture, public policy, and national security. Founded on the principle that agrifood security is national security, the Center conducts strategic analysis, promotes cross-sector collaboration, and develops policy frameworks that position American agriculture for long-term resilience, competitiveness, and geopolitical relevance.

The American Food Power Council serves as the Center's senior advisory body, bringing together nationally recognized leaders from across agriculture, food production, agribusiness, finance, academia, and public policy. Council members provide strategic insight and practical expertise to help shape recommendations that strengthen America's food system and reinforce its role as a pillar of national power.
