The Center for American Food Power
Market innovation can only take U.S. agriculture so far. Policy innovation is a critical element to secure American Food Power and address structural change.
Reframing food as national power.
Agrifood security is national security.

The Center for American Food Power is a forward-looking, nonpartisan think tank connecting food, policy, and national security.
The Center will conduct strategic analysis, promote cross-sector coordination, and develop policy frameworks with the goal of positioning U.S. agriculture for long‑term resilience, competitiveness and geopolitical relevance.
Our Mission
Serve as the go-to authority on America's food system as a pillar of national strength, driving market and policy innovation to ensure the U.S. remains the most food-secure and food-powerful nation in the world.
U.S. Ag is at an Inflection Point.
Structural shifts are straining today's system and reshaping how food is produced, processed, and delivered. We must assess these changes objectively and develop a national strategy that keeps our food system resilient and thriving.
A National AgriFood Strategy
CAFP will establish a credible fact base, foster informed dialogue, and build consensus around a forward-looking national agrifood strategy. This is a multi-year initiative that will culminate in a publicly released national agrifood strategy.
