Jessica C. Adelman Joins American Food Power Council, Bringing Nearly Three Decades of Global Enterprise and Governance Leadership

The Center for American Food Power (CAFP) today announced that Jessica C. Adelman, MBA, MA, NACD.DC, has joined the American Food Power Council, adding nearly three decades of executive and board-level experience across CPG, food, agriculture, and retail.

Adelman has advised CEOs, boards, and executive teams through M&A, regulatory and geopolitical complexity, enterprise risk, and transformation. Her executive career spans public and private companies including Mars, Kroger, Syngenta, and Cargill. Most recently, she served as Chief Corporate Affairs Officer & SVP for Mars Snacking North America, where she played a key role in the approval of the $36B Mars-Kellanova acquisition. She previously served as Chief Corporate Affairs Officer at Kroger, reporting to the CEO and supporting the Public Responsibilities Committee of the Kroger Board of Directors on programs such as Zero Hunger | Zero Waste and Restock Kroger. At Syngenta, she led the Washington, DC office and helped shape The Good Growth Plan. Today, she is Principal of High Alpine Advisory, a specialized advisory practice focused on enterprise, governance, and reputation matters.

She serves on the Board of Directors of the National Endowment for Democracy and is an Adjunct Professor of Sustainable Branding at Northwestern University, where she works with emerging consumers and leaders. She holds degrees from Wharton, the University of Pennsylvania, and Dartmouth College, and an Executive Certificate in Trade Policy from the Kennedy School at Harvard University. Active in the governance community, she is an NACD Directorship Certified leader who contributes to boardroom discussions on risk, technology, and succession planning.
